We at The Cage believe that we are one community and in this time of need we all need to work together to make Gwinnett County and America strong. A working community is a strong community. So please read the email I sent before Christmas about The Cage Job Network.
I know some of you are tired of receiving my emails, and this one is a little different and offering a service that won’t impact your wallet or budget. Over the past three weeks, I have personally known over a dozen families that have been severely impacted by the current economic climate. It is scary time for all of us. To survive the climate, we need to band together and think outside the box for something else that will work. The Cage wants to help.
The Cage is creating a free network, where we help match people’s skills and people’s needs. All you need to do is fill out a Job Bank card that details your skills and experience (This takes less than five minutes). We put your information in our data base and if someone needs your skills they can email me and I will give them a list of people. Our goal is to help one family per week. This is The Cage’s way to reach out and give back to you, our customers and friends. Now The Cage is not acting as reference for anybody, but it is just providing a list of names that can be drawn upon.
The Cage Network will match skills and needs in a couple different ways. For example; if you are a contractor who needs help with some trim work. The Cage then gives you a list of people for you to contact, you call them and make arrangements. More importantly, let’s say you have a skill (i.e. roofing or cleaning) and you need a plumber, but you do not have any money for the plumbing job, you trade out your skills to get the work done (barter). You can work among yourselves and work out the details. All we do is provide a resource for the contact. There is no commitment back to The Cage, as a matter of fact, if you complete a card, we will give you a $5 discount.
This program is for ALL types of job skills. This can be for the accountant, customer service, skilled labor, web designer, or business experience. We can always connect families who need some help with tutoring as well. You control who you use and what the “deal” is, all we do is provide the contact.
If you have your own business, The Cage wants to help your business grow and sustain during these hard times. It’s time for the people of this country to work together and not just wait for the government to bail us out. To cure the Great Depression, Roosevelt turned the economic culture around by involving the people. We have a great community, let’s talk to each other and make a difference.
Let us know what you are looking for and we will try to match your business up with other’s that are willing to care too. Now is the time where people can help people and The Cage wants to step up and be part of the solution.
People have asked me why would do this work for no charge. Here is the answer. We care and want to help, it’s simple as that. The bond we are share is a love for the game of baseball or softball. Let’s connect and we what we can do. We want to take that bond help create the relationship.
If I have your email address, you have been at The Cage at least once. If you have been here once or a million times, you are part of your family and we want to help you.
In order to promote this program, if you hire someone off our list for a task, we will give you one batting cage rental for free. If you come in and fill out a Job Bank Card, we have a special gift for you. We want to make this successful. We are all part of The Cage family with that one bond, so if you are looking for someone to help you, consider The Cage and its network.
To be considered for the network just reply to this email and give us the following information: Name, phone number, email address, skills, and experience. We will put you in the database.
To all of you, please forward this email on to others, so we can make this network large. We can not help others with out your help.
Happy Holidays from The Cage and our New Year’s resolution is for 2009 to be happy, healthy and have more friends than 2008!
